Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer with expert-level knowledge of healthcare billing systems within Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms. This role will lead the design, development, and optimization of billing and revenue cycle modules to ensure accurate claims processing, reimbursement workflows, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate combines strong Microsoft .NET development expertise with deep knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and healthcare billing standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain EHR billing modules using the Microsoft .NET framework.
• Build and enhance features related to charge capture, claims generation (837), remittance processing (835), payment posting, and denial management.
• Develop secure RESTful APIs and integrations using .NET Core / ASP.NET.Integrate EHR systems with clearinghouses, payers, and third-party billing platforms.
• Implement and support healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, and ANSI X12.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for billing data processing.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
• Troubleshoot billing discrepancies and system-level revenue issues.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and lead billing-related enhancements.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance tuning.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a .NET Developer (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with healthcare billing systems or EHR platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes.
• Experience with ANSI X12 837/835 transactions.
• Solid experience with SQL Server and database optimization.
• Experience developing APIs and system integrations.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with EHR systems such as Epic Systems, Oracle Health, or eClinicalWorks.Experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of value-based care and payer rule configuration.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
