Head of Financial Accounting

Role Summary The Group CFO / Head of Finance & Strategy will be a core leadership role responsible for financial governance, capital structuring, tax optimization, funding, ESOP management, and growth-stage finance strategy across Geonix and its group companies, including Indian and overseas ventures. The role will work directly with the promoter to support scaling, investments, acquisitions, and long-term value creation, including capital market readiness. ⸻ Key Responsibilities ⸻ 1. Group Finance, Accounting & Controls • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and controls across all group entities • Drive consolidated MIS, cash flow forecasting, and unit economics • Establish scalable financial systems suitable for growth-stage companies • Ensure audit readiness and strong internal controls ⸻ 2. Tax Strategy & Structuring • Lead group-level tax planning (India and overseas) • Optimize corporate tax, GST, transfer pricing, and cross-border structures • Advise promoter on efficient fund flows, dividends, and capital allocation • Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and assessments ⸻ 3. Banking, Funding & Treasury • Own relationships with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions • Manage working capital facilities, term loans, and structured funding • Negotiate interest rates, security structures, and covenants • Build treasury discipline to optimize cash and reduce cost of capital ⸻ 4. ESOPs & Equity Management • Design and implement ESOP plans aligned with long-term growth • Manage ESOP pools, vesting schedules, dilution analysis, and disclosures • Coordinate with legal and compliance advisors for ESOP execution • Educate leadership on equity impact and shareholder value ⸻ 5. Fundraising & Investor Relations • Lead financial preparation for equity and debt fundraising • Support valuation discussions and investor negotiations • Prepare financial models, investor decks, and data rooms • Act as finance interface with investors and board members ⸻ 6. Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Initiatives • Evaluate acquisition opportunities from financial and tax perspective • Lead financial due diligence and deal structuring • Support post-merger integration and reporting • Advise on inorganic growth and capital deployment ⸻ 7. Capital Market & Growth Readiness • Drive IPO / SME listing / pre-IPO readiness initiatives • Ensure governance, reporting, and compliance discipline • Support transition from promoter-led to professionally governed organization • Build long-term financial strategy aligned with valuation creation ⸻ 8. Team Leadership & Governance • Lead group finance, accounts, and compliance teams • Build second-line leadership and succession • Establish SOPs, dashboards, and accountability frameworks • Act as trusted financial advisor to promoter and leadership team ⸻ Candidate Profile • Qualified Chartered Accountant (strongly preferred) • 14–20 years of progressive finance leadership experience • Exposure to ESOPs, fundraising, and equity structuring • Experience in multi-entity, multi-geography organizations • Hands-on involvement in scaling, acquisitions, or IPO prep • Strong commercial judgment and execution mindset
