Lawyer - General Advisory

Experience: 9+ Years PQE Practice Area: General Corporate Advisory / Legal Advisory Location: Pune Role Overview We are seeking an experienced General Advisory Lawyer (Associate Partner level) with 9+ years of post-qualification experience to provide strategic legal advisory services across a range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. The role involves working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities • Provide legal advisory support on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including contractual, regulatory, and governance issues. • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs, and other business contracts. • Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. • Provide guidance on legal implications of business decisions, transactions, and strategic initiatives. • Interpret and analyse applicable laws, rules, and regulatory frameworks, providing actionable advice to clients. • Work closely with business teams, senior stakeholders, and external counsel where necessary. • Support clients on legal documentation, policy review, and internal compliance frameworks. • Identify potential legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies. • Assist in managing disputes and pre-litigation matters from an advisory perspective where required. • Mentor junior associates and contribute to knowledge development within the team. Key Requirements • Qualified lawyer with 9+ years PQE from a reputed law firm only. • Strong experience in general corporate advisory and commercial contracts. • Demonstrated ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice. • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. • Familiarity with Indian corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
