The company is currently in Phase 1 of its growth journey — establishing strong brand presence and scalable sales in the UAE market. Future phases include expansion across the GCC region, with Dubai continuing as the operational hub for inventory and fulfilment. To support this growth, we are looking for an E-Commerce Business Manager who can take ownership of the brand’s online sales performance, digital marketing effectiveness, and overall D2C commercial growth in the UAE market. The Role The E-Commerce Business Manager will lead and manage the digital business performance of GLAIN’s UAE e-commerce operations. This role requires a professional with core e-commerce experience who understands how performance marketing, website optimisation, merchandising, and customer behaviour work together to drive sales. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the marketing budget allocated by the company translates into measurable sales growth. This is a hands-on commercial role with direct ownership of revenue performance. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Business Performance • Take ownership of revenue growth and profitability of the e-commerce business • Analyse sales performance, customer acquisition funnels, and website conversion metrics • Identify opportunities to improve revenue through pricing, promotions, and merchandising • Ensure that marketing investments translate into measurable sales growth 2. Performance Marketing Oversight • Work closely with external performance marketing agencies managing campaigns on Meta and Google • Monitor and optimise Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Average Order Value (AOV), and Repeat Purchase Rate • Ensure marketing budgets are used efficiently to drive profitable growth • Evaluate campaign performance and suggest improvements to agencies The candidate will eventually support the transition from agency-led campaigns to internal marketing capabilities as the business scales. 3. Shopify & Conversion Optimisation • Be highly proficient in managing and optimising the Shopify e-commerce platform • Continuously implement improvements to website structure, product pages, and checkout experience to increase conversion rates • Monitor site analytics, customer behaviour, and purchase patterns to drive improvements • Ensure the website experience supports trust, usability, and higher sales conversion 4. Data Analysis & Management Reporting • Retrieve and analyse reports from Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and other marketing platforms • Prepare structured insights on campaign performance, website behaviour, and sales growth • Present monthly performance review reports to the Management team covering: Marketing spend | Sales performance | Campaign effectiveness | Customer acquisition trends | Opportunities for optimisation The role requires someone who can translate marketing data into clear business decisions. 5. Operational Coordination • Oversee day-to-day coordination of the e-commerce business • Work with fulfilment partners including DHL UAE to ensure smooth order delivery • Coordinate with inventory, design, and customer service teams • Ensure operational processes support consistent customer experience 6. Product & Merchandising • Track product performance and best-selling SKUs • Support merchandising strategies to increase basket size and conversions • Coordinate with design and procurement teams for demand-driven product planning 7. Ownership of Marketing Budget The E-Commerce Business Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the marketing investments allocated by the company generate measurable revenue growth in the UAE market. This includes: • Monitoring marketing ROI • Identifying underperforming campaigns • Suggesting improvements to drive higher sales performance Location & Travel The operational back office for this role is based in Thrissur, Kerala. However, the business operates in the United Arab Emirates, and the role will require occasional travel to Dubai for business meetings, operational coordination, and strategic planning. All travel, accommodation, and food expenses for UAE visits will be borne by the company.
