This is a high-impact role for someone who understands how geopolitical research translates into real-world strategic decisions. About the Role You will lead structured geopolitical and policy analysis to support strategic investment decisions, institutional positioning, and long-term growth planning. The ideal candidate combines deep academic grounding with applied policy experience in real institutional settings. This role requires someone who has worked inside an official think tank or policy institution in India , contributing to research that influenced public policy, regulatory frameworks, or corporate strategy. Key Responsibilities Geopolitical & Strategic Analysis - Analyze global and regional geopolitical developments impacting India and international markets - Assess political, regulatory, and macroeconomic risks at country and sector levels - Translate geopolitical insights into actionable strategic recommendations Policy Research & Creation - Contribute to or lead policy formulation initiatives for governments, corporates, or advisory bodies - Develop policy briefs, white papers, and structured research reports - Conduct forward-looking scenario analysis and strategic forecasting Investment & Strategic Advisory - Evaluate implications of foreign policy, trade dynamics, and security developments on capital flows and business expansion - Support leadership with risk mitigation frameworks and growth strategies Monitoring & Collaboration - Track developments in diplomacy, security, international trade, and strategic affairs - Collaborate with cross-functional and international research teams - Propose research themes aligned with emerging global trends Required Qualifications - Strong academic background in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or Strategic Studies - Prior experience working in an official Indian think tank or policy research institution - Proven involvement in policy creation or advisory work for government bodies, corporates, or public institutions - Demonstrated expertise in geopolitical analysis and strategic risk assessment - Excellent research, analytical writing, and briefing skills - Ability to work independently in a remote, research-intensive workplace Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree or PhD in International Relations / Political Science - Published policy papers, research reports, or strategic briefs - Experience engaging with government stakeholders or regulatory authorities - Exposure to corporate policy advisory or strategic investment planning
