Job Description About GSAS Micro Systems GSAS Micro Systems is India's leading embedded technology solutions company, representing 23+ global partners across the complete product development lifecycle — from virtual prototyping to production deployment. Headquartered in Bengaluru with regional offices across India, we serve automotive OEMs, aerospace & defense programs, semiconductor houses, medical electronics companies, and EV/energy systems developers with world-class instrumentation, software tools, and expert technical services. The Role As a Technical Sales Engineer – Test & Measurement Instruments, you'll be the bridge between GSAS's instrumentation portfolio and the engineers who use it. You'll work directly with design, validation, and production teams to understand their measurement challenges, demonstrate the right instruments, and support them through setup, configuration, and ongoing application use. This isn't a pure sales role and it isn't a pure engineering role — it's the space where deep product knowledge meets real-world customer problems. Key Responsibilities Deliver hands-on technical demonstrations and evaluation support for GSAS's T&M portfolio — including PC-based and benchtop oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers for CAN/CAN-FD, I2C/SPI, and USB, power analyzers, electronic loads, DC energy profilers, programmable power supplies, and data acquisition systems from GSAS's portfolio of globally recognized instrumentation partners. Guide customers through real measurement workflows — signal integrity analysis, power quality characterization, protocol decode and compliance validation, embedded current profiling, and production-line test setup — across lab, field, and manufacturing environments. Provide end-to-end application support from pre-sales scoping through post-sales enablement: instrument configuration, probe and accessory selection, measurement methodology guidance, workflow optimization, and user training. Develop basic test automation scripts and measurement routines using Python, LabVIEW, or instrument-native SDKs to help customers integrate instruments into repeatable validation and production workflows. Collaborate with the Sales Manager on opportunity qualification, technical proposal development, and competitive positioning. Feed field insights — customer pain points, feature requests, competitive encounters — back to the team and to partner OEMs. Contribute to GSAS's technical content engine: application notes, demo scripts, comparison guides, and workshop materials that strengthen the team's collective ability to engage customers. Requirements 2–4 years of hands-on experience in an electronics lab environment, instrumentation application engineering, or technical field support. You've used T&M instruments to solve real problems, not just read about them. Working familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, protocol analyzers, power supplies, and electronic loads. You understand what each instrument does well, where its limits are, and how to set up a measurement correctly. Solid grasp of core measurement concepts — signal integrity (rise time, jitter, eye diagrams), power analysis (efficiency, harmonics, transient response), data acquisition fundamentals, and serial protocol decoding (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, USB). Exposure to test automation or scripting — Python with SCPI/VISA, LabVIEW, or instrument-native APIs. You don't need to be a software developer, but you should be comfortable writing a script that automates a repetitive measurement. Strong communication skills and a genuine customer-facing presence. You can explain a complex measurement concept to a design engineer and simplify a product comparison for a procurement lead. Willingness to travel for on-site demos, training sessions, and trade shows. Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline. Benefits A role where you'll get your hands on some of the best measurement instruments in the world, from partners who are leaders in their categories. You'll work with engineering teams across India's most demanding industries — automotive, EV, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical — solving problems that actually matter. A technically driven, young team that values depth over fluff. Competitive compensation, performance-linked incentives, and a clear growth path into senior FAE, product management, or sales leadership.
