As a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant at Hempel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality AP operations in line with the company's global standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing end-to-end AP processes, reconciliations, reporting, and process controls.
- Acting as a trusted partner for both the team and business stakeholders in a dynamic, international environment.
- Reviewing AP related accounts reconciliation and following up on open items to ensure quality and compliance with external and internal policies.
- Supporting the maintenance of SOP, team training, and problem-solving of AP operation issues.
- Providing efficient and feasible solutions by collaborating with relevant functional areas.
- Supporting internal and external audits and participating in process optimization and system upgrade initiatives.
- Voucher and document filing.
- Invoice verification, booking, reconciliation, voucher, and documentation filing (60% of the tasks).
- Handling other daily operational tasks such as data preparation and providing audit support (10% of the tasks).
- Maintaining and updating SOP, team training, knowledge transfer, and process optimization projects (20% of the tasks).
Qualifications required for this role include:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Account Payable or a similar finance area.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA systems.
- Fluency in English.
