Manual Software Tester - Internship

About the internship: HighScores.ai is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Manual Tester Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a critical role that will focus on the quality of our exciting new platform. Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Platform Mastery: Quickly and thoroughly learn the functionality, architecture, and user flows of the HighScores.ai new platform. 2. Testing Execution: Perform detailed manual testing on new features, bug fixes, and existing application functionality across different environments. 3. Test Case Design: Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases, focusing on thorough coverage, including negative scenarios and complex edge cases. 4. Defect Lifecycle Management: Accurately log, track, and manage software defects, including clear reproduction steps and severity using Jira. 5. Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team meetings (sprint planning, daily stand-ups) and work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and other QA members to ensure a high-quality release. 6. Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve the overall QA process and testing efficiency. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, necessary for writing clear test cases and defect reports. 4. Proactiveness: A strong desire to learn new tools and technologies and the motivation to take ownership of assigned tasks. 5. Prior Exposure (A Plus): Any prior experience or coursework exposure to software testing principles, bug tracking tools (like Jira), or basic SQL/databases is a bonus.
