Founding Leadership Opportunity Head – Business Development – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Headquarters: Jaipur, Rajasthan Operating Geography: Rajasthan | Pan-India | China (Supplier Engagement) Reporting To: Founder We Are Building — Not Managing We are a recently funded, fast-moving energy infrastructure startup headquartered in Jaipur, focused on building a serious Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) platform in India. India’s renewable transition is accelerating. Solar capacity is scaling rapidly. Storage is no longer optional — it is inevitable. We are positioning ourselves early to build a distributed storage platform with strong annual committed megawatt capacity and long-term infrastructure value. We are assembling our founding leadership team. This Is Not a Job. This Is a Platform to Build. We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven Head – Business Development (BESS) who wants to: • Build from zero • Shape market strategy • Close high-value energy deals • Lead supplier engagement (including China visits) • Help define a national storage presence If you are looking for corporate comfort, this is not for you. What You Will Own You will architect and drive our BESS growth strategy, targeting committed annual megawatt capacity through: • C&I storage deployments • Solar + storage hybrid partnerships • Strategic EPC collaborations • Participation in storage-linked national opportunities You will be responsible for building: • Deal pipeline • Strategic OEM partnerships • Industrial cluster relationships • National market presence The Operating Landscape You will operate across: • Rajasthan industrial clusters (RIICO zones, Bhiwadi, Neemrana, etc.) • Solar developers across India • EPC contractors and infrastructure players • Battery and system suppliers in China • Competitive landscape including Tata Power, Adani Green Energy, ReNew Power We aim to compete on speed, flexibility, and execution intelligence. What We Expect • Strong understanding of BESS components (cells, PCS, EMS, integration) • Ability to structure CAPEX / RESCO / hybrid models • Deep knowledge of demand charge optimization & storage economics • Strong negotiation ability (domestic and international) • Willingness to travel extensively across India and to China • Comfort operating in a startup, high-ownership environment Experience: 7–15 years in renewable energy / storage / power infrastructure Track record of closing meaningful energy transactions What You Gain • Founding leadership role • Direct promoter interaction • Strategic influence over capital deployment • International supplier exposure • Performance-linked compensation • ESOP / long-term value participation You will not inherit a system.
