ICU STAFF NURSE / CRITICAL CARE NURSE

Job description Job Title: ICU Staff Nurse Location: Hithalaya , Gottigere, Bangalore, Karnataka, India Education: GNM or BSc Experience: 2 to 5 years Shifts: 3 shift (morning, evening & night) Salary: As per company policies Job Purpose The ICU Staff Nurse provides specialized care to critically ill patients, managing life-threatening conditions through continuous monitoring, advanced life-support equipment management, and rapid response to status changes. Key Responsibilities • Critical Care: Perform clinical assessments, manage ventilators, and monitor hemodynamic levels (IBP, CVP, SpO2). • Medication Safety: Administer high-risk medications following "6 Rights" and titrate life-saving inotropes/vasopressors. • Emergency Response: Act as a core member of the Code Blue Resuscitation Team and manage unit crash carts. • Patient Monitoring: Conduct GCS/pupil assessments and maintain 100% accurate ICU flowsheets and intake/output records. • Patient Safety: Adhere to NABH protocols, infection control (Hand Hygiene), and pressure ulcer prevention (Braden Scale). • Coordination: Assist doctors during rounds, use ISBAR for handovers, and educate families on patient conditions. Requirements • Licensure: Valid Nursing registration. • Skills: Proficiency in operating infusion pumps, defibrillators, and cardiac monitors. • Training: Updated BLS/ACLS certification. • Attributes: Empathetic communication, professional decorum, and flexibility to support hospital operations during exigencies.
