JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective:
The Senior FSQA Executive is responsible for performing QA duties on a professional level and works closely with House of Spices Inc., QA, Purchase, Supply Chain and staff in supporting designated geographic regions.
Essential Functions
• Ensure Food safety & quality systems, QC programs, and procedures prioritize product safety, regulatory compliance, and quality acceptance, and verify effective implementation at co-packers and suppliers.
• Establish, implement, and verify programs for shelf-life validation, sample retention, mock recalls, allergen control, non-conforming material control, and calibration.
• Ensure adequate monitoring and verification of HACCP/HARPC, GMPs, sanitation, plant housekeeping, and pest control programs at third-party facilities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain material traceability, including organic identity preservation and kosher compliance, where applicable.
• Verify incoming raw material controls, inventory rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and net weight & fill control programs.
• Verify production compliance with approved formulations, specifications, and process controls, including Critical Process Points (CPPs/PCPs).
• Conduct and document quality assessments and audits of co-packers to ensure compliance with regulatory and HOS requirements and standards.
• Conduct and document quality assessments of raw material and ingredient suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory and HOS requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to evaluate, develop, and improve processes and preventive controls to ensure ongoing compliance with product specifications.
• Lead investigations, corrective actions, and follow-ups with suppliers related to non-conformances, deviations, and complaints.
• Track, trend, and analyze complaint data, and drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans with suppliers to reduce recurring issues and improve quality performance.
Travel
• Travel is mandatory for this Job Profile
Required Education and Experience
• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in food science/food technology or equivalent qualification.
• Should have handled 3P operations
• Knowledge of lab technique of analyzing different food product.
• Good in MS word, excel, and power point.
• Good organoleptic senses for product and sensory evaluation.
• Lead Auditor (Any GFSI Scheme Certified PCQI Personnel Preferred.
Preferred Knowledge
• Knowledge of lab technique and prior training in fundamental quality assurance technology.
• Basic Knowledge of Quality Assurance; GFSI and Regulatory (US FDA); FSMA and other Regulatory standards.
• Good Technical skills.
