Backend Engineer role at Awign Expert, based in Hitech City, Hyderabad. The position requires an immediate joiner with 5-7 years of experience. Key Responsibilities • Microservices & Real-time Workflows: Design and own Python/FastAPI microservices using async I/O and WebSockets for real-time data and voice workflows. • Database Management: Model and operate MongoDB/Atlas, including schema design, indexing, and query tuning. • AI & LLM Integration: Contribute to LLM features such as RAG, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and safety guardrails. • API & DevOps: Integrate third-party APIs and services, manage deployment pipelines, and handle incident response and metrics. Requirements • Must-Haves: • 5+ years of backend experience with Python and FastAPI (or similar async frameworks). • Proficiency in MongoDB and Atlas operations. • Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). • Strong debugging skills in distributed systems and excellent communication. • Experience with LLM/AI providers (OpenAI, Azure, Bedrock) and RAG pipelines is highly preferred. • Nice-to-Haves: • Skills in Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, or messaging systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ. • Knowledge of real-time communications (SIP/WebRTC) and AWS services (S3, SQS, ECS/EKS). • Awareness of security compliance like SOC 2 or HIPAA.
