Senior SQL Server Developer

As a Senior SQL Server Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server databases and related objects such as stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Your expertise in advanced T-SQL, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques will be crucial for optimizing queries and indexes to ensure high-performance web applications. You will also analyze and improve execution plans to enhance query performance and implement database design best practices including normalization and indexing strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and related objects. - Optimize queries and indexes for high-performance web applications. - Analyze and improve execution plans for efficient query performance. - Implement database design best practices. - Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot database-related issues. - Collaborate with application developers for seamless integration. - Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with standards. - Document database structures, processes, and optimization strategies. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8 years of experience in SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS. - Proficiency in advanced T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexing. - Expertise in query optimization, execution plans, and performance tuning. - Understanding of database design principles and best practices. - Experience with large-scale data environments and high-transaction systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. In addition to the above, if you have experience with ETL tools and data integration, familiarity with cloud-based databases like Azure SQL or AWS RDS, and knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI or SSRS, it would be considered as a plus.
