Junior Cloud & DevOps engineer

Role Overview We are seeking a versatile Cloud & DevOps Engineer with strong foundations in networking and SQL database management. This role involves designing, provisioning, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, while automating deployments and ensuring high system performance. Key Responsibilities • Networking & Systems: • Establish and maintain network performance across LAN/WAN environments. • Design and implement network configurations (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers). • Troubleshoot network issues and conduct IP address auditing. • Direct system installation and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure. • Install and maintain network hardware/software, tracking upgrades and repairs. • Assess organizational needs to design resilient networking environment • Cloud Engineering & DevOps • Provision and manage cloud resources (AWS EC2, S3, RDS; Azure VMs, Storage, SQL DB; GCP equivalents). • Build, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). • Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation. • Write automation scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell for routine tasks. • Implement containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). • Monitor and optimize workloads with Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native tools. • Ensure security and compliance through IAM, encryption, and regulatory standards. • SQL Database Management • Design and maintain SQL databases (schema, normalization, indexing). • Write and optimize queries, joins, stored procedures for performance. • Manage backups, replication, and disaster recovery. • Integrate applications with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL). Required Skills • Proficient in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms. • Hands-on with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible. • Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancers). • Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting. • Solid understanding of SQL database management. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. • 1–3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Networking roles. • Cloud & DevOps certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) preferred. • Relevant work experience in networking, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
