Operation Theater Staff Nurse

Job Description: As an integral part of the surgical team, you will assist surgeons during operations and uphold OT protocols. Your responsibilities will include preparing OT instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before surgery to ensure smooth procedures. It will be crucial for you to prioritize patient safety by providing pre-operative and post-operative care while maintaining sterility and infection control standards inside the OT. Additionally, you will coordinate effectively with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to facilitate efficient operations. Monitoring patient vitals during procedures and handling documentation, OT notes, and equipment usage records will be part of your daily tasks. You will also be responsible for maintaining the stock of OT consumables, promptly reporting any shortages to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Qualifications Required: - Relevant experience working in an operating theatre or surgical environment. - Knowledge of OT protocols, sterile techniques, and infection control practices. - Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various healthcare professionals. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
