[Remote] Senior Data Analyst (SQL. Power BI)

Jobs via Dice is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our remote analytics team. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions. You will work closely with leadership, product, operations, and engineering teams to design scalable reporting solutions and advanced dashboards. This position is ideal for a highly analytical professional with strong SQL expertise, deep experience in Power BI, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders—all while working in a fully remote environment. Key Responsibilities • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities. • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. • Write optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple data sources. • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. • Define, track, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems. • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability. • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and actionable manner. • Support data governance, documentation, and best practices for analytics workflows. • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a strong analytics culture. Required Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field. • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets. • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard design. • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases. • Experience working with multiple data sources (cloud databases, APIs, flat files, etc.). • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities. Experience • 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles. • Proven experience delivering insights that influence business strategy and decision-making. • Prior experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is a plus.
