Job Description – Lab Technician Company Name: KAT Constructions Pvt. Ltd. Location: Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh Position Overview KAT Constructions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to conduct testing and quality control of construction materials. The role involves laboratory testing, documentation, equipment maintenance, and coordination with site teams to ensure compliance with project quality standards. Roles & Responsibilities - Conduct testing of construction materials such as cement, sand, aggregates, concrete, steel, soil, and bitumen as per IS standards and project requirements. - Perform routine laboratory tests including sieve analysis, slump test, cube test, soil compaction test, and other relevant quality tests. - Ensure all construction materials meet required quality standards before use at site. - Maintain proper records and documentation of all test results and prepare accurate test reports. - Submit test reports within timelines and update laboratory data regularly. - Maintain calibration, upkeep, and proper functioning of all laboratory equipment. - Monitor quality control activities at construction sites and provide technical support when required. - Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Managers regarding test results and quality issues. - Assist in concrete mix design, material approval, and quality improvement measures. - Identify and report material deviations or quality concerns to management immediately. - Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards at all times. - Maintain cleanliness, organization, and protected working conditions within the laboratory. Required Qualifications - Diploma / B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or related field. - 2–5 years of experience in construction material testing. - Knowledge of IS codes and construction quality standards. - Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, report preparation).
