Job Description Position : Data Engineer Location : Chennai / Bangalore Work Timing : On-call rotation including 8:30 pm-2:3 am IST Experience : 3+Yrs Start Date : Mar 16 Overview: The Data Engineer contributes to the design, development, integrations, and management of Echo’s large scale data solutions while supporting the strategic architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance, and function. Responsibilities: • Principal Accountability | Database Engineering • Collaborates with Agile teams to design, develop, integrate, and manage Echo’s large scale data solutions including data storage, data modeling, ETL, data querying, and reporting • Work with both on-prem data environments and deliver robust cloud-based solutions. • Collaborate in the research, evaluation, operational usage and building of relational and no sql solutions • Utilize programming languages like Scala, Python, T-SQL, RDBMS, Open Source and NoSQL databases, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and a variety of AWS tools and services including Glue and Redshift • Be a part of the team on-call rotation supporting a "you build it you own it" mentality. Position Requirements • At least 3 years of qualified data engineering experience. • 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following contemporary languages: Scala, Python, T-SQL, PostgresSQL • Experience with AWS • Exposure to Open Source frameworks • Exposure to Agile practices • Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau Requirements SQL, Python, and PySpark, DATA Bricks
