Librarian

Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Library Management: Organise, catalogue, and maintain the library collection (books, journals, digital resources). • Teaching & Literacy: Conduct library periods, teaching information literacy and research skills to students. • Curriculum Integration: Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning through relevant library materials. • Reading Promotion: Organize events (book fairs, author visits, reading workshops) to foster a love for reading. • Administrative Tasks: Manage circulation (issuing/returning books), stock verification, and budgeting. • CBSE Compliance: Ensure the library adheres to CBSE norms (e.g., minimum of 5 books per student, excluding textbooks). Required Qualifications & Skills: • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (BLib/MLib). • Certification: B.Ed. is often required or preferred. • Experience: Previous experience in a school library, preferably within a CBSE curriculum. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in library automation software and digital/e-library resources. • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
