SAP Functional Consultant – PP QM

Role Description The SAP Functional Consultant – PP QM will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) processes to enable efficient manufacturing, quality control, and compliance across Kimbal's operations. This role will work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT teams to translate shop-floor and quality requirements into robust SAP solutions that support scale, traceability, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities • Lead functional design, configuration, and support for SAP PP and QM modules • Configure PP processes including BOM, routing, work centers, MRP, production orders, and capacity planning • Configure QM processes including inspection planning, incoming/in-process/final inspections, quality notifications, and results recording • Work closely with plant, production, and quality teams to map business processes into SAP • Ensure seamless integration of PP & QM with MM, PM, SD, and FICO modules • Support manufacturing execution, quality compliance, and traceability requirements • Participate in SAP implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and change requests • Support UAT, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and production support • Prepare functional documentation, SOPs, test scripts, and user training materials • Drive standardization and best practices across manufacturing and quality processes Current Challenges • Supporting growing manufacturing scale while maintaining quality and compliance • Enabling real-time visibility into production and quality metrics • Integrating shop-floor processes with SAP for better planning and control Success Metrics • Stability and efficiency of PP & QM processes • Reduction in production and quality-related issues • User adoption and satisfaction across plant and quality teams Job Requirements Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Manufacturing preferred) Experience • 5–10 years of experience as an SAP PP QM Functional Consultant • Hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM configuration and support • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Functional & Technical Skills • Strong expertise in SAP PP (MRP, production orders, capacity planning, BOM, routing) • Strong expertise in SAP QM (inspection types, plans, results recording, quality notifications) • Good understanding of manufacturing and quality processes • Experience integrating PP & QM with MM, PM, SD, and FICO • Ability to translate plant-floor requirements into SAP configurations • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Why Kimbal?
