Maritime Fleet Technical Specialist (India)

Company Description KNK Ship Management is a leading maritime service provider in India, holding an RPSL license issued by D.G Shipping. We manage and oversee 40 tugs for the Adani Group and 10 tugs from our ownership fleet. Our expertise includes man and technical management for dredging fleets, delivery voyages of various vessels, port and terminal operations, and offshore maritime services. We also provide coastal salvage, emergency towing, and rescue operations on India's east and west coasts. Dedicated to human resource development, we operate a DG Shipping-approved Maritime Training Institute and an advanced Azimuth Stern Drive Training Simulator. Role Description This is a contract, on-site Marine Technical Superintendent role, for India and Overseas assignment. The role is responsible for overseeing and managing the technical operations and maintenance of vessels under our management. Key responsibilities include monitoring vessel performance, planning and coordinating maintenance and repairs, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and liaising with crew and other stakeholders. The role also involves ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness while addressing technical challenges proactively. Qualifications - Expertise in Ship Management and Maritime operations - Experience in Vessel Inspection and compliance with safety and operational standards - Robust background in Marine Engineering and technical maintenance - Practical experience in Sailing and onboard vessel operations - Knowledge of regulatory standards and certifications in the maritime industry - Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a relevant field is an advantage - Experience with tugs, dredgers, or offshore vessels is highly beneficial
