As a Product Design Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative mechanical products using Creo Parametric. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, performing tolerance analysis, and maintaining design documentation and CAD libraries. You will also be responsible for managing Engineering Change Management processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. Communication skills are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design innovative mechanical products using Creo Parametric
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality
- Perform tolerance analysis and ensure designs meet industry standards and specifications
- Maintain and update design documentation and CAD libraries
- Manage Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes to ensure timely and accurate implementation of design changes
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in mechanical design
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Qualifications:
- B.E. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering with 24 years of experience in product design and development
- D.M.E with 35 years of experience in product design and development
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and 2D drawings
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)/Windchill
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
