As a Sourcing Analyst, you will work in collaboration with the Regional and Country Category Teams to support the development and execution of category practices. Your role will involve assisting in sourcing strategy definition and deployment, providing analysis and insights to the Category Teams, and conducting deep research, analysis, and business modeling to support sourcing activities. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Category Teams to consolidate local requirements, utilize e-Sourcing services during sourcing execution, and create and analyze procurement-related reports to ensure compliance and performance visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market intelligence and analytics support to assist Category Managers in developing category strategies and executing sourcing projects by:
- Collecting data and analyzing external factors such as industry and market dynamics, as well as products/services trends
- Performing supplier analysis, including assessing financial stability, sustainability, certifications, and production capabilities
- Providing support with risk analytics for the commodity team
- Offer analytics support by:
- Assisting Category Managers in developing category strategies and executing sourcing projects
- Analyzing internal factors such as spend and customer requirements
- Developing industry and supplier cost models, as well as total cost of ownership models
- Creating sensitivity/scenario models to identify critical variables impacting total cost of ownership
- Providing analytical support during supplier screening and selection processes
- Aiding in the development of Requests for Information (RFX) by defining potential supplier lists and preparing negotiation packages
- Managing knowledge transfer and exchange by storing and maintaining project deliverables and templates in knowledge repositories
- Actively monitoring research databases and communicating category-specific news and trends to internal stakeholders
- Support Business Modelling and Value Engineering projects by:
- Collaborating with Category Managers in strategy development and Value Engineering Project execution
- Assisting in data collection and analysis to identify and deliver projects targeting technical and process value levers
- Providing data input for lean and six sigma deliverables and driving related analytics activities
Qualification Required:
- Academic background: Ideally a graduate/engineer with an MBA
- Experience: 5 years of general business experience with 1-2 years as an Analyst, preferably with experience in data warehouse/reporting tools in a global environment and in statistics
- Language skills: Proficiency in English is essential
