3D Character Designer – Part time role Company: Luminarch Studio Location: Remote Type: Part-Time / Project-Based Compensation: Revenue Share (No upfront salary/stipend) About Luminarch Studio: Luminarch Studio is an emerging game development studio focused on creating immersive, story-driven experiences. Currently, we are working on original IPs and building a passionate team of artists and developers who want to grow together and create impactful games. This is an early-stage opportunity where contributors work on a revenue-sharing model, with the goal of scaling into a full production studio. Role Overview: We are looking for a creative and skilled 3D Character Designer who can bring game characters to life based on provided concepts, references, or story requirements. You will be closely working with the game design and development team to create high-quality, game-ready characters. Key Responsibilities: • Create 3D character models based on given concepts, references, or blueprints • Design characters in styles such as semi-realistic, stylized, or anime. • Ensure models are optimized and game-ready (topology, polycount, UVs) • Collaborate effectively with developers, animators, and designers. • Maintain consistency in art style across the project. • Adapt to evolving project needs and contribute creatively. Requirements: • Proficiency in Blender / ZBrush / Maya • Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, and optimization. • Ability to create clean, detailed, and visually appealing characters. • Knowledge of human and animal anatomy, proportions, and design principles. • Experience with Photoshop or similar tools for texturing. • Strong artistic sense and attention to detail. • Passion for video games and character design. Important Note: • This is a revenue-based role • No salary or stipend will be provided initially • Compensation will be structured after project milestones (Alpha/Release phase) • Work Experience Certificate will be provided upon successful contribution to the project • Ideal for candidates who want to build portfolio + real game experience.
