As a Freelance Swimwear Fashion Designer at a Stylish Swimwear + Athleisure E-Commerce Startup based in Bangalore, you will play a pivotal role in creating bold, stylish, and high-quality swimwear and athleisure designs for the Indian market. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing contemporary, stylish, and functional swimwear collections such as bikinis, one-pieces, cover-ups, and resort sets. - Developing tech packs, CAD sketches, and fabric recommendations for the designs. - Creating silhouettes that strike a balance between aesthetic appeal and fit support for diverse body types. - Researching global swimwear trends, prints, colors, and materials to stay ahead in the fashion industry. - Collaborating with the brand on moodboards, visual direction, and collection planning. - Coordinating with sampling and tailoring teams for prototype development. - Ensuring that the final designs are premium, trendy, and commercially viable. Key Requirements for this role include: - 3-5 years of experience in swimwear and athleisure wear. - Strong understanding of stretch fabrics, fits, padding, lining, and closures. - Ability to create stylish, viral-worthy, bold, and classy gym wear designs. - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate. - Knowledge of pattern making, grading, and technical construction. - Must be based in Bangalore or able to attend occasional in-person meetings.
