- Dispense medications accurately and promptly to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards. - Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriateness of therapy. - Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers, addressing any concerns or questions. - Monitor patient outcomes and troubleshoot any medication-related problems. - Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and controlled substances. - Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines. - Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize treatment plans based on patient-specific needs. - Stay up-to-date with current pharmacy practices, medication updates, and healthcare regulations. - Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical supplies.
