Role Summary: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic advisor to leadership and department heads, aligning HR initiatives with business goals in a fast-paced accounting and business consulting environment. You will drive talent management, employee engagement, and compliance with Indian labor laws, including Kerala-specific regulations. This role reports to the Director and partners closely with finance and operations teams. Key Responsibilities • Partner with the management to develop HR strategies that support firm growth, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning for audit and tax roles. • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, ensuring hires meet technical skills like Tally, GST compliance, and other accounting & tax knowledge. • Manage employee relations, handle disputes, and promote a positive culture through engagement initiatives, training on soft skills and professional ethics. • Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism) using tools like Excel or HRIS to recommend data-driven improvements in retention and productivity. • Lead change management for firm expansions, tech adoptions (e.g., cloud accounting software), and support compensation benchmarking against industry norms. • Key Goals include improving utilization (billable hours), talent retention and operational efficiency through pod-based teams to mitigate HR risks and enhance measured outputs. Education Bachelor's/Master's in HR, Business Administration, or related; MBA/BBA preferred. Experience 5+ years in HRBP role, ideally in professional services, startups, or consulting firms; exposure to Kerala labor market a plus. Skills Strong knowledge of labor laws; proficiency in OD Initiatives, HR analytics, HR softwares, MS Office; excellent communication for stakeholder management.
