Job Title: Design Engineer Experience Around 2–5 years of working experience in Automotive Product Design Overview Of The Position Create and develop mechanical systems, components, and subassemblies for e-machines. Role Create mechanical designs for automotive components and systems, from concept to production. Roles & Responsibilities • Working experience on mechanical design aspects of automotive components and high level of drafting & 3D CAD modelling skills using Unigraphics-NX CAD software. • Experience in designing plastic, sheet metal, casting & machined parts. • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Sound understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing process of various components, and engineering materials. • Responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical designs at design reviews along with supporting design teams. • Prototyping: Support the creation and testing of prototypes for design validation. • Responsible for reporting progress of all assigned tasks to the Reporting Manager. • BOM creation in SAP & Windchill. Education Qualification BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Machine Design Desired Functional / Technical Competencies • Must be good at 2D/3D making (modelling, assembly & drafting) in Unigraphics NX CAD software and Windchill system for BOM creation. • Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes. • Proactive approach and good communication skills.
