Base pay range Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (Tamil) Institution: Masai School, in academic collaboration with a premier institute Course Format: Online Engagement Type: Part-time Time Commitment: 6–8 hours per week Location: Remote (India) Instruction Language: Tamil Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in AI/ML About The Role Masai School, in academic collaboration with a premier institute, is seeking a Teaching Assistant (AI/ML – Tamil) to support its online Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning program. This role is suited for professionals who are passionate about AI/ML education, learner mentorship, and explaining technical concepts clearly in Tamil. The Teaching Assistant will help learners build strong conceptual foundations and practical ML skills. Key Responsibilities (KRAs) Doubt-Solving & Tutorial Sessions • Conduct or moderate weekly doubt‑solving and Q&A sessions in Tamil. • Explain AI/ML concepts, assignments, and coding challenges with clarity. • Reinforce learning from faculty‑led sessions through tutorials. Q&A and Discussion Forum Support • Provide timely and accurate responses on discussion forums, chats, and LMS. • Assist learners with Python programming, ML pipelines, and debugging. Academic & Research Support • Share real‑world AI/ML use cases, tools, and industry practices with learners. • Guide students on model building, evaluation, and improvement techniques. Learner Engagement & Feedback • Maintain learner motivation through regular feedback and guidance. • Track progress and elevate concerns to cohort managers. • Collect insights to help improve course delivery and content relevance. Candidate Requirements Must‑Have • Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning. • Solid understanding of: • Data preprocessing and feature engineering • Supervised and unsupervised learning methods • Model evaluation metrics • Basics of deep learning • Strong coding skills in Python. • Hands‑on experience with: • NumPy, Pandas • Scikit-learn • TensorFlow or PyTorch • Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or academic support roles. • Comfort in mentoring learners and explaining ML concepts in Tamil (spoken). Good to Have • Exposure to ML deployment or production workflows. • Experience with Jupyter, Git, and LMS platforms. • Educational background from a reputed technical institute or AI/ML program.
