Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer

Role Overview We are seeking an Adobe Certified AEM Developer with strong implementation expertise and exposure to AI-driven digital experience capabilities. As our partner agency expands its Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) practice across industries, this role will support enterprise-grade AEM implementations while leveraging AI to enhance personalization, automation, content velocity, and operational efficiency. This is a client-facing role that requires both deep technical expertise and strategic thinking. Core Responsibilities AEM Development & Architecture Design and develop AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms solutions Build reusable components, Sling Models, workflows, and OSGi services Customize Core Components and implement scalable content structures Develop headless implementations using AEM Content Services Configure Dispatcher and optimize performance Work within AEM as a Cloud Service environments AI-Enabled Digital Experience Implementation The ideal candidate should understand how AI enhances AEM capabilities, including: Implementing AI-powered personalization using Adobe Target Leveraging Adobe Sensei for automated tagging, smart content, and personalization Supporting AI-based content recommendations and dynamic experiences Working with AI-driven analytics insights from Adobe Analytics Integrating third-party AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure AI, Google AI) with AEM platforms Supporting content automation workflows using AI tools Enabling chatbot, conversational AI, and intelligent search integrations Assisting in GenAI-based content generation workflows within CMS ecosystems Automation & Workflow Optimization Design automated content publishing workflows Implement AI-assisted asset tagging in AEM DAM Automate content migration using scripts and AI-assisted tools Improve operational efficiency through intelligent workflow orchestration Explore low-code integrations (Adobe I/O, APIs, Webhooks) Client Consulting & Pre-Sales Support Participate in technical discovery sessions Advise clients on AI readiness within the Adobe ecosystem Identify AI use cases for marketing automation, personalization, and content operations Support proposal estimations and architecture discussions Contribute to AI-first AEM implementation frameworks Required Qualifications Adobe Certified Professional – AEM Developer (mandatory) 3+ years of hands-on AEM development experience Strong expertise in: Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, HTL (Sightly), AEM Core Components, AEM Dispatcher, REST APIs Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service Experience with multi-site enterprise implementations Strong understanding of the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem AI & Emerging Technology – Good to Have Understanding of Generative AI in CMS workflows Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / Google Vertex AI) Familiarity with prompt engineering basics Experience with Adobe Sensei-powered features Knowledge of AI-driven personalization strategies Experience with headless CMS + AI content delivery Understanding of LLM-based chatbot integrations Exposure to marketing automation tools (Marketo, SFMC, HubSpot) Preferred Experience Experience working with UK/US agencies Exposure to enterprise digital transformation projects Understanding of GDPR and data privacy considerations Experience with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines Knowledge of React / SPA Editor integrations
