Design Engineer (Electrical)

Job Summary We are seeking experienced Electrical panel Designers with expertise in SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for designing electrical control panels, sheet metal components, and creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing. This role requires strong technical knowledge of panel design, manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities • Develop detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings of electrical panels using SolidWorks software. • Design sheet metal components, enclosures, and panel layouts conforming to as per requirements of customers. • Create assembly layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings for electrical panels • Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation for production • Perform design validation and analysis to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements • Collaborate with electrical engineers, production teams, and quality assurance to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements • Modify existing panel designs based on client specifications and drawings. • Conduct design reviews to optimize manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance • Maintain organized design files and documentation for project reference and traceability • Support installation teams with technical guidance and resolve design-related field issues • Stay updated with latest design tools, manufacturing techniques, and industry standards Required Qualifications Education: • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field Experience: • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in panel design using SolidWorks • Proven experience in electrical panel or industrial enclosure design • Experience working in manufacturing or electrical panel fabrication industry Technical Skills: • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assembly design, sheet metal design) • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and design for manufacturing (DFM) • Understanding of electrical panel layouts, component mounting, and thermal management • Proficiency in GD&T and engineering drawing standards • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including cutting, bending, welding, and powder coating • Ability to interpret electrical single line diagrams (SLD) and general arrangement drawings (GA) • Experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Desired Attributes • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Good communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving design issues • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
