General information Date Thursday, February 26, 2026 City Bengaluru State KA Country India Working time Full-time Description & Requirements JD - Band 4 • Having experience in AWS / Azure Cloud. • Having experience in Oracle / MSSQL databases. • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades with minimal downtime. • Increase Security and enhance Compliance in AWS / Azure - optional • Migrate on-premises databases to AWS/Azure using Database Migration Service and DMA. • Proactively maintain the overall health of all databases • Troubleshoot performance and stability issues. • Proficiency in Unix shell / Python scripting.- REQUIRED (beginner) • Proficiency in SQL / PL/SQL. (beginner) • Ability to apply software maintenance upgrades (including security patches) and fixes. • Monitoring backups of the database on a regular basis and work with backup team. • Monitoring space management at database and server level. • Identify Business Critical alerts from all production databases and escalate to next level. • Monitoring oracle physical standby and replicas and rebuild / re-sync if necessary. • Ability to perform Code Deployments. • Check for the database long running queries and provide recommendations. (beginner) • Having good experience in administrating PostgreSQL or MySQL – Optional Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Actively acquire skills alongside senior coworkers for cloud database provisioning, configuration, administration, cloning, patching, and upgrade activities. • Help with space and growth management issues for databases in cloud infrastructure and work with senior resources to address them. • Respond and resolve database related requests and incidents. • Adhere to organization's security policies while performing database administration tasks, responding to database and cloud security alerts, and supporting audit requests. • Watch and learn from senior DBAs as they develop and test disaster recover strategies, acquiring knowledge for independent execution. • Learn the ropes of database backups, how to resolve backup issues, and perform recovery activities. • Keep an eye on monitoring, and take timely action on alerts for cloud databases. • Participate in the on-call support (per the roster developed by management), perform minor database change requests, and be involved in the DevOps lifecycle management. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 0-3 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
