Core Responsibilities • Check highway embankment layers using field density test equipment and approved drawings. • Supervise asphalt laying with temperature gauges, paver machines, and compaction logs. • Measure road alignment and camber using total station instruments and survey records. • Review drainage structure construction with reinforcement drawings and concrete pour cards. • Maintain daily site records including chainage wise progress and material consumption sheets. Skills and Technical Exposure • Highway geometric design drawings and alignment plans. • Bitumen testing methods and laboratory test reports. • Soil compaction testing tools and density calculation sheets. • Survey instruments including total station and leveling staff. • Quality inspection formats and site measurement documents. Experience Context • Role operates on live highway construction sites with earthwork and pavement layers. • Projects span several kilometers involving heavy machinery and staged construction. • Without this role road levels, pavement strength, and drainage alignment fail to meet standards.
