As a Senior Data Engineer at Bluebeam, your role involves designing, building, and operating scalable data and platform services to support Bluebeam's products, integrations, and data-driven capabilities. You will ensure that data and cloud platforms are reliable, secure, and performant, enabling teams to deliver high-quality product experiences and insights. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing scalable data platforms and services to meet the needs of Bluebeam products and business requirements. - Building and maintaining data pipelines and analytics systems to enable reliable data processing and insights. - Developing software components and integrations that expose data capabilities through APIs and services. - Ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of data and platform systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product and business requirements into technical solutions. - Participating in system design and architectural discussions to evaluate and implement appropriate technical approaches. - Documenting system designs, data workflows, and code to support maintainability and knowledge sharing. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, processes, and platform capabilities. Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of software development experience, focusing on data-intensive applications, cloud solutions, and scalable data architectures. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Go (Golang) and Python. - Advanced SQL expertise, including procedural SQL dialects like Snowflake Scripting, PL/pgSQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL. - Design, development, and optimization experience with Snowflake-based data platforms, including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and performance tuning. - Experience with batch, CDC, event-driven, and SaaS-based data pipelines, handling data in formats like Avro, Parquet, or Iceberg. - Building and maintaining APIs and microservices for data integration, with expertise in cloud platforms like AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, ELB). - Familiarity with data visualization, dashboards, NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, DocumentDB, MongoDB), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). - Exposure to data governance and security practices using tools like Collibra, Alation, or OpenMetadata.
