About the Role
We have recently won a large-scale Machine Learning project with a leading vehicle Manufacturer. We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy advanced defect detection solutions using Computer Vision and Deep Learning techniques in a manufacturing environment.
You will work on real-world industrial inspection systems involving image/video data from production lines, ensuring high-accuracy detection of surface, structural, and assembly defects.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy ML/DL models for automated defect detection.
• Build end-to-end computer vision pipelines (data preprocessing → model training → validation → deployment).
• Work with image datasets from production lines (high-resolution industrial cameras).
• Develop and optimize CNN-based models (classification, detection, segmentation).
• Improve model performance using data augmentation and advanced techniques.
• Deploy models on edge devices or cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and data engineering teams.
• Monitor model performance and retrain as needed.
• Document technical designs and maintain best coding practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with:
• TensorFlow / PyTorch
• OpenCV
• Scikit-learn
• NumPy, Pandas
• Experience with:
• Object Detection models (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, SSD)
• Image Segmentation (U-Net, Mask R-CNN)
• CNN architectures
• Experience handling imbalanced datasets.
• Strong understanding of model evaluation metrics (Precision, Recall, F1, mAP).
• Experience deploying models via REST APIs or edge devices.
• Knowledge of MLOps concepts (CI/CD for ML models) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing defect detection.
• Knowledge of edge AI deployment (NVIDIA Jetson, ONNX, TensorRT).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Experience working with real-time image processing systems.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
