About the Role NMG Technologies ( www.nmgtechnologies.com , www.nmgdigital.com) is looking for an SEO Content Writer who will research, write, and optimize long-form content for our clients' websites. Our clients are based in the US and UK and operate in industries like healthcare, ecommerce , and entperise software. You will write blog posts, pillar pages, service pages, comparison guides, and landing pages — all optimized for organic search performance. This role requires robust hands-on experience with SEO tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, and SurferSEO — not just for keyword lookup, but for content optimization, SERP analysis, and performance tracking. You will work closely with our SEO team to plan content, build briefs, write publish-ready drafts, and refresh existing content based on Search Console and Analytics data. Key Responsibilities - Research and write SEO-optimized long-form content (1,500–3,000+ words) in American and British English for international clients from content briefs prepared. - Build content briefs and outlines from scratch — including target keywords, heading structure, competitor review, and source recommendations - Use SEMRush Content Writing Assistant or SurferSEO Content Editor during the writing process for real-time content scoring and optimization - Ensure all content meets readability standards appropriate to the target audience (consumer content at grade 8–10 reading level) - Structure articles with proper heading hierarchy (H2/H3), external linking to authoritative sources, image/visual suggestions with alt-text, and SEO metadata (title tags, meta descriptions, URL slugs) - Collaborate with the SEO team on keyword strategy, internal linking, and topic cluster planning - Review and self-edit every draft before submission — check for repetition, voice consistency, factual accuracy, and brief compliance Must-Have Skills - 2–4 years of experience writing SEO content for websites and blogs (agency experience preferred) - Proven experience writing for US or UK clients with native-level English proficiency - Hands-on working knowledge of SEMRush, Ahrefs, or SurferSEO for content optimization (not just keyword volume lookup) - Working knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics for tracking content performance - Understanding of search intent and how it determines content format and structure - Ability to create content briefs independently — with keyword placement instructions, heading structure, word count, and source suggestions - Strong editorial judgment — you simplify complex topics, maintain consistent voice, and catch your own errors before submission - A writing portfolio with original samples you can share and walk us through Bonus Points If You Have - Knowledge of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — structuring content for AI search engines - Experience writing for different funnel stages — awareness content, consideration content, and decision-stage content - Familiarity with schema markup (FAQ, How-To) and its role in search visibility - Experience with pillar page and topic cluster architecture - Technical background (B.Tech or similar) combined with writing skills — especially for SaaS and software content - Certifications from SEMRush Academy, Ahrefs Academy, or HubSpot Content Marketing A Note on AI Usage We use AI tools in our workflow — that's standard practice. But during the hiring process, we will ask you to write without AI assistance so we can evaluate your original writing ability, research process, and editorial judgment.
