Role Overview
Role Tasks for SEO and Content Specialist
1. SEO Account Setup & Audit
● Conducting comprehensive audits of existing websites to identify areas for optimization, including site architecture, content, backlinks, and technical SEO issues.
● Setting up Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO tools with best practices for tracking performance and ensuring data accuracy.
● Implementing a standardized naming convention (for tags, campaigns, reports, etc.) to maintain consistency and accuracy in tracking and reporting.
● Identifying potential issues in past SEO performance (e.g., slow load times, broken links, crawl errors) and implementing corrective actions to drive better results.
2. Keyword Research & Content Strategy Planning
● Conducting in-depth keyword research to identify high-value keywords and optimize website content for SEO.
● Analyzing past website performance, industry trends, and competitor strategies to inform SEO planning.
● Creating detailed content strategies that align with client objectives, target audience, and SEO best practices.
● Justifying keyword and content choices based on audience research, search intent, and industry trends. Content Strategy Planning
● Finding the right entities, and topics to create content
● Briefing the writers accordingly, by giving them detailed outlines, with keywords
● Monitoring their progress, and reviewing their content as per timelines.
● Auditing the content and editing as needed
● Getting content approved by the client, and updated through the developer.
● Ensuring the content has the right kind of assets to support content creation and authority for each website.
● Monitoring the accuracy of content, and AI proof even after developer has updated
● Monitoring the site for duplicate content
3. On-Page & Technical SEO Optimization
● Implementing on-page SEO optimizations such as meta tags (titles, descriptions), heading tags, and image alt text.
● Improving internal linking strategies to ensure a well-structured site that is easy for search engines to crawl.
● Identifying and fixing technical SEO issues such as broken links, duplicate content, and slow loading pages.
● Ensuring content optimization based on keyword research, enhancing user experience, and increasing organic traffic.
● Updating header tags, and other keywords as per site performance, and audit regularly
● Monitoring lead flow from organic search, reporting to client and internal stakeholders
● Analyzing which keywords are performing and creating a content plan to consistently grow traffic and meet the client’s monthly KPIS
4. Backlink Strategy & Off-Page Optimization
● Developing and executing link-building strategies to acquire authoritative backlinks.
● Analyzing the current backlink profile and identifying opportunities for improving the link strategy.
● Outreach to relevant websites and influencers to acquire guest post opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations for backlink acquisition.
5. Conversion Tracking & SEO Performance Monitoring
● Implementing and maintaining conversion tracking tools (Google Tag Manager, UTM parameters) to monitor traffic and conversion metrics.
● Monitoring key SEO performance indicators such as organic traffic, CTR, bounce rate, and keyword rankings.
● Setting up performance dashboards using tools like Google Data Studio or Looker Studio to visualize SEO trends and identify optimization opportunities.
● Working with developers closely to ensure a 99.9% uptime of the website if maintenance is part of the SOW
● Being able to resolve minor website issues (WP/Shopify) through the backend
6. SEO Performance Evaluation & Reporting
● Conducting regular performance evaluations of SEO efforts and completed campaigns.
● Preparing detailed reports that include key metrics (CTR, rankings, organic traffic) and actionable insights.
● Identifying patterns in audience behavior and search trends to recommend improvements in SEO strategies.
● Ensuring that all reports are client-friendly, clearly communicating the business impact and SEO outcomes.
7. Client Communication & Strategic Planning
● Acting as the primary point of contact for all SEO-related communication and queries.
● Conducting regular check-ins, strategy discussions, and performance review meetings with clients.
● Advising clients on SEO strategies, trends, and potential improvements in website performance.
● Ensuring all client deliverables (e.g., reports, audits, updates) are completed on time and meet client expectations.
● Informing the client on status of changes, issue resolution with clear timelines as issues occur, in line with the pre-agreed SLAs 8. Learning & Execution
● Actively learning about algorithm updates, new SEO tools, and emerging trends in the SEO space.
● Quickly applying new insights to optimize ongoing client campaigns, ensuring that they are ahead of the curve.
● Taking ownership of tasks, ensuring timely and accurate execution without the need for constant supervision.
● Experimenting with new SEO strategies (e.g., schema markup, content silos, link-building techniques) to optimize client results.
● Adapting to feedback, analyzing results, and implementing iterative improvements in SEO strategies to drive better outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
● SEO Expertise: Proficiency in Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other SEO tools.
● Technical SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, site audits, and optimization strategies.
● Keyword Research & Content Strategy: Ability to conduct keyword research, content gap analysis, and implement a data-driven content strategy.
● Backlink Strategy: Proven experience with effective link-building tactics and improving domain authority.
● Reporting & Analytics: Ability to use reporting and automation tools (Google Data Studio, Looker Studio) to create dashboards and reports.
● Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present SEO strategies and results to clients and internal teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
