Overview:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding market presence. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strong relationships with potential clients, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company. The BDM will develop and implement strategies that enhance productivity and profitability while ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and proactively pursue new business opportunities both in existing and untapped markets.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform business development strategies and provide insight into industry trends.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth.

  • Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to senior management for strategic positioning.

  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs through effective planning and execution of business development strategies.

  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

  • Strong understanding of data analysis tools to assess market trends and sales performance.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms to support lead generation efforts.

  • Ability to create and interpret sales forecasts and budgets.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably within the industry.

  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience in contract negotiation and closing high-value business deals.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on results-driven approaches.
