Interior Designer Intern

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Interior Designer Intern to join our dynamic design team. This role aims to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of interior design, including project development, client interaction, and design implementation. You will contribute to the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces while gaining practical insights into the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior designers in developing design concepts and presentations for client projects.
• Conduct research on materials, finishes, and furnishings to support design selections.
• Create and revise detailed design drawings and specifications using design software.
• Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements and present design ideas.
• Assist with site visits and document measurements and observations throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to budget constraints.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic understanding of 3D rendering tools and graphic visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with materials, furnishings, and finishes commonly used in interior design.
• Strong organizational skills for managing project documentation and schedules.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Previous internship or coursework experience in interior design or a related discipline is a plus.
• A portfolio showcasing design work, technical drawings, and creative projects.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong design aesthetic with an understanding of spatial planning and layout.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiasm for design trends and a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
