Position Summary The Lab Technician will support Lab/field tests of electrical and electronic components in Oceaneering products. He/she will be responsible for maintaining, managing and operating all equipment in the Lab inventory ensuring readiness for utilization. This position is based in Chandigarh This role will primarily require working from lab/office. Our hybrid/remote work model offers some flexibility to work from home, allowing you to balance personal and professional life. Duties And Responsibilities ESSENTIAL • Assist the test engineers in the execution of test methods and collection of data. • Assist in operation of testing equipments like Environmental Chamber and Vibration shaker. • Arrange support as required in maintenance and recalibration of mechanical and electronic equipments, tools and instrumentation. • Assist in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical supply panels and switchgears. • Undertake routine (weekly and monthly) preventive maintenance actions and maintain records. • Raise requirement and acquire approvals for procurement of all laboratory tools, and supplies. • Help with procurement of components from local markets • Manage log entries of lab inventory usage and/or issuance to projects. • Maintain library of operations and user manuals of equipment in the labs. NON-ESSENTIAL • Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals. • Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives. • Comply with organizational HR policies and procedures. Qualifications REQUIRED • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with up to 2 years of relevant industry experience DESIRED • Hands on experience of working with DC power supplies, Loads and Multimeters is strongly desirable. • Hands on experience with use of sensors like RTDs, encoders, limit sensors, etc. and sensor interface circuits • Hands on experience with 220 and 415V power supply and switchgears is desirable. • Knowledge in Electro-Mechanical Systems and CAD drawings will be an added advantage. • Experience with troubleshooting electronic hardware designs including digital and analog circuits, microprocessor-based systems, and power supplies will be an added advantage.
