Business Excellence Manager

Job Title: Business Excellence Manager Role Purpose To drive process excellence, business transformation, and operational efficiency across functions by leveraging commercial acumen, strong business process understanding, and SAP systems. The role will act as a bridge between business users and technology, ensuring standardization, governance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Business Process Excellence • Analyze, design, and improve end-to-end business processes across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Manufacturing. • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses; recommend and implement improvements. • Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and best practices. Commercial & Financial Focus • Work closely with Commercial, Sales, and Finance teams on pricing, margins, credit controls, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and inventory processes. • Support management with business analysis, MIS, dashboards, and performance metrics (KPIs). • Ensure process alignment with business goals, profitability, and compliance. SAP & Digital Enablement • Act as a business SPOC for SAP (SD, MM, FICO, PP) • Translate business requirements into SAP functional specifications. • Support SAP enhancements, rollouts, upgrades, UAT, and post-implementation stabilization. • Ensure optimal usage of SAP for reporting, controls, and automation. Continuous Improvement & Governance • Lead process audits, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. • Drive Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement initiatives. • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and compliance standards. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement • Drive change management and user adoption for new processes and SAP changes. • Conduct training sessions and workshops for business users. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, IT, consultants, and external partners. Key Skills & Competencies • Strong understanding of commercial operations and business processes • Hands-on experience with SAP (SD/MM/FICO preferred) • Process mapping, documentation, and improvement mindset • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Project management and execution capability Qualification & Experience • MBA / CA / CMA / Engineer with relevant business exposure • 8–15 years of experience in Business Excellence, Process Improvement, Consulting, or ERP-driven roles • Prior experience in manufacturing / textile / FMCG / large corporate environment preferred Key Outcome Expectations • Improved process efficiency and standardization • Better SAP adoption and business alignment • Strong governance, controls, and visibility • Measurable cost, time, and productivity improvements Key factors • Hands-on SAP (SD/MM/FICO) experience • Strong process improvement and commercial exposure • Individual contributor with some cross-functional influence
