We are looking for a passionate and agile Entry-Level Chef to join our restaurant consulting team. This role goes beyond kitchen operations and involves assisting in restaurant project execution, menu engineering, operational setup, recruitment coordination, and administrative support. The candidate will work closely with the consulting team to help launch and manage restaurant projects from concept to operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Culinary & Menu Development - Assist in menu engineering and recipe standardization for restaurant projects. - Support in food trials, tastings, and menu innovation. - Help develop costing sheets and portion standards for dishes. - Maintain food quality and presentation standards during project setups. 2. Restaurant Project Operations - Assist in new restaurant setup and pre-opening activities. - Support in kitchen planning, workflow setup, and equipment coordination. - Help implement SOPs, kitchen systems, and operational guidelines. - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers during project execution. 3. Recruitment & Team Coordination - Assist in recruiting kitchen staff and service team members. - Help conduct initial candidate screenings and trial coordination. - Support in team onboarding and training during project launches. 4. Administration & Documentation - Maintain recipe documentation, menu costing sheets, and project records. - Assist in preparing operational checklists, SOP manuals, and reports. - Coordinate with management for project updates and progress tracking. 5. Operational Support - Monitor kitchen hygiene, safety, and compliance standards. - Assist in inventory planning, vendor coordination, and procurement support. - Support ongoing restaurant projects with operational improvements and quality control. Skills & Requirements - Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality Management. - Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food production. - Interest in restaurant consulting, menu development, and project management. - Good organizational and communication skills. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and work on different restaurant projects. - Proficiency in MS Excel, documentation, and basic reporting Key Attributes - Passion for food innovation and restaurant concepts. - Detail-oriented and proactive mindset. - Ability to adapt to fast-paced project environments. - Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills.
