As the Zonal Finance Lead at Plan India, your role involves overseeing accounting and administration tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and maintaining quality financial records. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: - **Financial Accounting:** - Strengthen the review process for all financial transactions and reports, ensuring quality, compliance, and timeliness. - Manage general accounting functions such as transaction posting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxation. - Ensure accurate posting of transactions in SAP and review project-related expenditures and supporting documents. - **Budget and Cash Management:** - Support in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. - Analyze budget versus actual expenditures and assist in preparing MIS reports. - Aid zonal program teams in budget preparation based on project and donor requirements. - **Financial Monitoring & Audits:** - Conduct financial monitoring of projects through field visits. - Coordinate and provide necessary financial data for audits. - Prepare Audit Action Lists and respond to audit observations. - **Compliance:** - Ensure compliance with FCRA regulations, Income Tax Act, GST, and other statutory requirements. - Support timely submission of statutory returns and donor compliance requirements. - **Financial Reporting & Analysis:** - Prepare internal financial reports on a monthly basis. - Prepare and submit donor/program financial reports as required. - **Procurement & Office Administration:** - Ensure adherence to procurement processes and effective management of logistics arrangements. - Provide accurate documentation for vendor agreements and purchase orders. - **Team Management & Capacity Building:** - Provide guidance to finance staff, conduct capacity building sessions, and support partner organizations. - Advise senior stakeholders on financial analysis and control gaps. • *Skills & Competencies:** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and compliance orientation - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Excellent coordination and communication skills - Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP BI reports, and documentation systems • *Qualification & Experience:** - CA/MBA/PGDM (Finance)/M. Com from a recognized university - 612 years of finance experience, including 46 years in a senior/zonal role - Exposure to SAP/ERP, budgeting, MIS, and donor-funded projects - Knowledge of statutory compliances and audits - Experience in team supervision and NGO/INGO or development sector preferred Plan India is an equal opportunity employer.
