Agronomist

Roles Responsibility: The Agronomist will serve as the technical backbone of our Gujarat operations. The primary goal is to bridge the gap between irrigation technology and agricultural output, ensuring that farmers achieve maximum yield and Water Use Efficiency (WUE) through our systems. He will be the lead expert on crop-specific fertigation, soil health, and regional water management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Crop Fertigation Management: Develop and implement precise irrigation and fertigation schedules for major Gujarat cash crops, including Cotton, Groundnut, Potato, and Cumin. 2. Technical Advisory: Training to Farmer, Provide on-field technical support to farmers and dealers, specifically focusing on salinity management in Saurashtra and Kutch. 3. Field Trials R D: Oversee "Model Plot" demonstrations to collect data on ROI, water savings, and yield increases to support the sales team with localized case studies. 4. Sales Enablement: Conduct technical training for the sales force and channel partners on "Agronomy-led Selling" techniques. 5. GGRC Compliance: Coordinate with the Gujarat Green Revolution Company (GGRC) to ensure all agronomic designs meet state subsidy guidelines and technical standards. 6. Digital Agriculture: Utilize IoT-based moisture sensors and satellite imagery to provide predictive maintenance and scheduling advice. Qualifications Education - M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Agriculture Experience - 5–8 years in the Micro-Irrigation, fertilizer, or Seed industry. • Full professional fluency in Gujarati is mandatory. English/Hindi for reporting. • Must knowledge of Important Crop POP, • Technical Skills- Expert knowledge Crop Evapotranspiration and fertigation math, • Strong public speaking skills for "Khedut Shibir" (Farmer Meetings). • This is a field-heavy role requiring up to 60-70% travel across districts like Rajkot, Surendranagar, Banaskantha, and Kutch. • Must possess a valid driving license and be comfortable working in diverse outdoor agricultural environments.
