Job Title: PHP and WordPress Developer Location: Onsite - Worli Job Type: Full time onsite Job Description PL India are seeking a skilled and experienced PHP and WordPress Developer with 5-6 years of hands-on experience in maintaining dynamic, high-performance website. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both back-end and front-end development with expertise in WordPress theme and plugin customization, PHP, and database management. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining website, optimizing for speed and scalability, and ensuring high-quality user experiences. Key Responsibilities • * Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code. • Manage and update existing WordPress websites, ensuring they are running smoothly. • Collaborate with the design and front-end development teams to implement user-friendly and responsive designs. • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues such as bugs, errors, and performance problems. • Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress applications. • Optimize website speed, security, and scalability. • Implement SEO best practices and perform website optimizations for higher search engine rankings. • Ensure the security of websites by performing regular updates, backups, and monitoring for vulnerabilities. • Write database queries and optimize performance using MySQL. • Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications • * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field. • 5-6 years of proven experience in PHP development and WordPress. • Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. • Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, plugins, and custom post types. • Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development. • Solid understanding of web development best practices, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and website accessibility. • Experience with website performance optimization and caching techniques. • Familiarity with Git or other version control tools. • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating external services. • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
