Database Reliability Engineer

You will be responsible for design & development learn new technology & cloud services & Kubernetes , DevOps components. Develop tools and automate the process for achieving large scale provisioning and deployment of cloud platform technologies. Responsibilities: Database Reliability Engineer is a professional who acts as a bridge between development and IT operations, Network, DBA taking on operational tasks to ensure the efficient functioning of infrastructure & They are responsible for monitoring, automating, and improving the reliability, performance 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, candidate must have Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in VMware Environment working on VCN / ESXI / patching / Upgrades / DRS / HA / VSAN / SAN architecture and SAN Zoning etc. also candidate should have hands on experience with other virtualization products. Should have hands-on experience on Linux OS Infra Minimum 3 years along with Oracle Database Administrator for configuring, administering, and maintaining the Oracle database environments. • Candidate should have good knowledge on Linux Operating system. • Managing the continuous integration/continuous development pipeline (CI/CD). You’ll probably be tasked with building this pipeline from scratch. • Extensive knowledge of Linux systems including hardware, software and applications. • Extensive Knowledge of VMware and other virtualization products. • Candidate should have basic knowledge about Kubernetes, Jenkins and Grafana. • Candidate should know about VMware / KVM hands-on experience. • Strong knowledge on Linux, Windows, OEL Operating system. •Strong understanding of SAN architecture and SAN zoning concepts. • Hands-on experience with LUN mapping and LUN masking. • In-depth knowledge of RAID levels and storage performance considerations. • Solid understanding of enterprise-class storage systems and storage best practices. • Perform storage provisioning, expansion, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. • Work closely with infrastructure, virtualization, and application teams to support storage requirements. • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as: NetApp, Hitachi G200, G400, Nimble • Knowledge of Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage environments. • Experience with storage monitoring, capacity planning, and incident resolution. • Exposure to storage in virtualized environments (VMware / KubeVirt / Hyper-V) • Understanding of multipathing and high-availability storage designs. • Good to have Data base knowledge Oracle / SQL • Perform installation, configuration, performance tuning of Oracle/Elasticsearch/Cassandra/Kafka/Redis/Ceph in multi-DC environment. • Identifying the bottlenecks and performance tuning. • Responsible for integrity and security of the database. • Monitoring performance and managing configuration parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users. • Installation and testing of new databases as well as patching of existing live databases. • Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly. • Go extra-mile in understanding business application and suggest / perform necessary database or architecture changes • Proven experience managing database configurations. • Experience of setting up Oracle high availability [RAC, Dataguard] environment using various tools. • Good knowledge of RAC, ASM, RMAN, Dataguard, Datapump and other Oracle utilities. • Experience of managing Oracle databases on various cloud environments. Experience of identifying performance problems and optimization of database performance. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and identify DB bottlenecks. • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions • Experience with Oracle tools—Datapump, OEM, SQL*Plus, and other utilities. • Manage RMAN backups, restore, recovery, and cloning activities. • Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation. • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, & related field.
