As a Mechanical Engineer in this role, your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing design layouts/3D models to understand the product's functionality. - Checking assembly drawings and piece part drawings to ensure accurate product definition. - Collaborating with the engineering design team. - Ensuring that Engineering notices are completed accurately and contain all necessary information. - Consulting with design personnel to address questions related to engineering practices and standards. - Providing guidance to design control personnel on potential problems identified during design reviews. - Verifying redesigns prompted by field issues. - Demonstrating strong Problem-Solving Skills, Technical Know-how ability, and Accountability. - Being Self-Motivated and a Team Player. - Exhibiting effective communication skills. - Developing standard work instructions and updating process documents & templates for complex drawings. - Offering counsel and advice to design control engineers on potential issues arising from form, fit, and functional errors during the Product design phase. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. - 5 to 8 years of experience in Engineering. - Proficiency in Creo 4.0 detailing/modelling practices. - Working knowledge of PLM Tool (Windchill preferred). - Background in drafting and technology. - Strong expertise in Sheet metal design manufacturing processes.
