Job Title: Senior Cognos Developer Experience: 8+ Years Location: Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Cognos Developer with 8+ years of strong expertise in Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehousing, and Reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level BI solutions using IBM Cognos Analytics, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement BI solutions using IBM Cognos Analytics. • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Develop Framework Manager models, packages, and data modules. • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Cognos tools. • Optimize and tune reports and queries for performance and scalability. • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure reporting needs are met accurately. • Perform data modeling and collaborate with Data Warehousing teams. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve BI-related issues. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards. • Support production deployments and provide ongoing maintenance. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Dashboarding, Data Modules). • Experience in SQL and working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema). • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization. • Good understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in enterprise-level BI implementations. • Knowledge of other BI tools is an added advantage. • Exposure to Agile methodologies.
