Product Manager 1

Role Overview Rooter is looking for a Product Manager 1 to lead key product initiatives across the company, with Rooter Shop as the primary area of ownership. In this role, you will be responsible for driving product strategy, execution, and growth for Rooter Shop, while also contributing to other high-impact consumer and monetisation projects across the Rooter ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Growth, Operations, Marketing, and Business to build scalable, user-centric products that drive customer value and business impact. This is a high-ownership role for someone who is excited to solve real user problems, move fast, and build products at the intersection of gaming, commerce, and digital consumer behaviour. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Ownership • Own the product roadmap and execution for Rooter Shop and other strategic product initiatives • Identify user problems, business opportunities, and market gaps, and translate them into clear product requirements • Define product priorities aligned with user needs and business growth goals End-to-End Product Execution • Lead the product development lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration • Write PRDs, define feature scope, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure timely execution across releases • Work closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality product experiences end-to-end Product Metrics & Growth • Define, track, and improve key product metrics such as conversion, retention, engagement, monetization, and funnel performance • Use SQL and Python to perform deep product analysis and identify opportunities for growth • Drive experimentation and optimization to improve product performance Product Optimization • Continuously optimize product flows such as purchase journey, pricing and offers, checkout experience, catalog visibility, post-purchase experience Cross-Functional Leadership • Collaborate with growth, business, and operations teams to improve customer acquisition, user experience, and revenue outcomes • Support the launch and scaling of new product initiatives beyond Rooter Shop as the business evolves • Present product updates, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership Requirements • 4–7 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in consumer internet, gaming, e-commerce, marketplace, fintech, or digital products • Proven ability to own product initiatives end-to-end • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to balance user needs with business goals • Strong understanding of product metrics, funnel analysis, experimentation, and prioritization • Proficiency in SQL and Python for product analysis • Experience working closely with engineering, design, and analytics teams in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to take end-to-end ownership and operate with high accountability Qualifications B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or a related technical discipline Preferred Qualifications • Experience building or scaling 0→1 or 1→10 consumer products • Exposure to growth, monetization, or commerce-led product functions • Experience in gaming, digital commerce, or consumer tech • Familiarity with payments, digital goods, monetization, retention, or marketplace products • Working knowledge of analytics tools, dashboards, and experimentation frameworks What You’ll Get to Build This role offers the opportunity to build in one of India’s most exciting gaming and digital commerce ecosystems.
