A Specialty Pharmacist opportunity is available for a dedicated professional with experience in specialty pharmacy or retail settings. This contract role supports the existing pharmacy team, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care. Location: Positions available in Iowa and Louisiana Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Contract Duration: Maternity leave coverage starting with training in early May, continuing through mid-August Key Responsibilities: • Perform standard staff pharmacist duties, including verifying prescriptions and patient counseling • Provide support to the current pharmacy staff to maintain workflow efficiency • Utilize the Epic Willow Ambulatory (WAM) dispensing system for order entry and medication management • Participate in training sessions 1-2 weeks prior to the maternity leave start to ensure a smooth transition Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing is required • Proven specialty pharmacy or retail experience • Proficiency or willingness to quickly adapt to the Epic Willow Ambulatory ordering system • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail This contract position offers the chance to gain valuable specialty pharmacy experience in a structured environment with supportive training.
